How To Connect A Hidden Camera To Your Computer by Glenn Freiboth

Most hidden cameras today's are designed to be hooked up to a TV set for viewing only or to an old VCR for recording video surveillance and reviewing the camera video at a later time. Very few people know how to hook up a hidden camera to their computer so that they can record and view it using their computer. This article explains in detail what you need to purchase and how to install the components so that you can not only view and record hidden camera video surveillance on your computer but also view the video remotely through the Internet for free.

While most hidden cameras will most likely work with this setup we can only verify these hidden cameras will work for sure. The Hidden Camera VISEC Software-Hardware System is just the thing for making your hidden camera work with your laptop or desktop computer.

For a wired or wireless hidden camera you will need the GrabBee II to connect your camera(s) to your computer. The GrabBee II is the bridge between the wireless or hidden camera and your computer. The GrabBee II converts analog video signal to digital through your USB port. Plug & Play installation allows you to connect the number of cameras equal to the number of USB ports on your computer. Comes with software and all the connecting cables you will need to hook it up. GrabBee II

VISEC Software:

The software that gets installed on the computer was developed as a next generation computer program by NASA Level Programmers. This software has the following features.

* Watch your pets, nanny, babysitter even your kids!

* View from any location in the world via the Internet.

* Use your computer's IP address to log on and immediately view live or past video.

* Record all video activity, or just when motion is detected.

* In motion detection mode you can be alerted by email, cell phone or PDA when motion is detected. * Can also be used as a stealth surveillance system allowing the program to operate secretly on your computer. Suspect an abusive nanny or cheating spouse? Simply set VISEC on 'secret' mode and record everything for possible evidence.

* VISEC is extremely easy to use. Installation and configuration will only take 5 minutes.

In the past, it was quite costly to connect a hidden camera to work with your computer. But with VISEC you can turn your computer into a powerful surveillance system at a fraction of a regular security system cost. VISEC has no monthly fees and, for a one-time fee, you can receive a lifetime of free updates.

Please Note:

When remote viewing via the Internet, you will get a snap shot every 6 sec. You are not actually viewing real time video.

How to Select a Voltage Converter for Your Next Trip Overseas by Chris Robertson

Whether you live in the United States, Canada, Mexico, or on another continent, traveling overseas can pose problems when taking along electrical appliances because of voltage differences in various countries around the world.

When taking an extended vacation, there are some electrical items you just can't live without. Needed items may include battery chargers (for cell phones, digital cameras, and other portable items), hairdryer, electric shaver, radio, curlers, iron, VCR, and DVD player. Without a proper voltage match, you could permanently damage your electrical product when plugging it into a power source.

Understand Voltage Differences before You Go

It's a good idea to research voltage differences before traveling. Some countries have an across-the-board standard of 110 volts while others have a standard voltage of 220. For example, North American countries as well as parts of South and Central America, the Pacific and Caribbean operate on 110 volts. Other countries around the world operate on 220 volts, while some countries have both 110 and 220 voltage.

If you're traveling from the United States (with a 110 volt standard) to Europe, and the area you plan to visit only uses 220 volts, you will need an 110v to 220v voltage converter, also called a step up voltage converter. On the other hand, if you are traveling from a country in Europe that has a 220 volt standard to the United States, you will need a 220v to 110v voltage converter, or a step down voltage converter.

What is a Voltage Converter or Voltage Transformer?

A voltage converter is a device used to convert the voltage of a power source to create a usable - and safe - power supply. Another word often used for voltage converter is voltage transformer although there are actually differences between the two. A voltage transformer is usually bigger in size and is designed for longer, continued use. A voltage converter will usually either double or cut in half the voltage, but some converters can do both.

Voltage converters usually come with plug end adapters that enable the conversion of the shape and size of the plug's end. The plug adapter can be used without the converter if no voltage conversion is needed. It's a good idea to carry with you a variety of plug end adapters because some countries have many different types of outlets. For example, some areas do not use the flat prong outlet that's used in the United States.

Frequency Gaps - Cycle Mishaps

Some countries not only have voltage differences, but also frequency (cycles per second) differences. Many electrical appliances are not affected by this difference; however, some are such as clocks, espresso makers, and other timed products. A clock, for instance, may not keep time properly if there's a frequency difference. Also, it's not recommended to use voltage transformers with heat-making products such as steamers, small electric heaters, or coffee heaters. Some hotels forbid the use of certain electrical appliances, so check with the hotel to be sure you can bring the items along.

VCR and DVD Voltage Converters

If you plan to take along a VCR or DVD player, there are several options. You'll need a voltage converter with most regular video or DVD players. There are, however, innovative code free (region free) DVD players that offer voltage capabilities for 110 volts and 220 volts. These won't need a voltage converter because it's built in. Keep in mind that using a voltage converter usually won't work if there are frequency differences or format differences with the provided television set. Find out in advance if there will be problems so you can prepare.

When buying a voltage converter or transformer, first find out what type of conversion you will need - step up or step down. Most online electronics outlets offer many different types of 110220 volts converters, transformers, and plug adapters so you can easily find affordable solutions when you travel.

Structuring Business Gifts For Promotional Giveaways by Gareth Parkin

While many of the business gifts that are sent out each year are low cost promotional items like pens, key rings and Frisbees, there is also a ready market for mid-range and high end business gifts that are more suited to trade show giveaways and loyalty and redemption programmes. If you and your company have decided to use business gifts in a fulfillment or loyalty programme or as prizes in a promotional sweepstakes, there are many products from which to choose. A typical prize/rewards structure for a promotional giveaway using business gifts might look like this:

The Grand Prize (or the highest level of reward in your giveaway programme) is usually a one-of-a-kind item or a large sum of money. There's usually only one top level prize, but in a fulfillment programme, you'll need to estimate how many of your top level reward gifts to order. Some ideas for top level rewards include laptop computers, DVD players and other electronics.

High Value Business Gifts Choose business gifts that will appeal to your target market. Some choices for high end business gifts include products like:

1. executive travel bags make great business gifts if your market includes business people who travel for work. 2. USB drives printed with the name of your company are excellent choices as mid-level to high value business gifts in promotions aimed at the youth and professional market. 3. MP3 Players are another type of business gift that appeals to the youth and professional markets. Brand them with your logo and load them up with some promotional messages and you'll have a winner of an business gift. 4. Electronic organizers appeal to the executive set. Choose high quality products that offer all the features that today's busy executive will find handy, and don't forget to put your name - discreetly - on this big boy toy. 5. Leisure time gifts like wine decanters, flasks and picnic baskets are very popular with upwardly mobile youth and professional markets. They represent expensive taste and the good things in life that many love to own, but won't pay money for. 6. Branded digital credit card cameras are another of those techie toys that make great business gifts. People love getting something expensive for nothing more than making a purchase of a product they'd buy anyway. 7. Golf products - from golf towels to golf umbrellas to tee markers and kits - are prized business gifts for executive markets, sportsmen and retirees. There's a full variety of golf business gifts that you can fit into your promotional fulfillment campaign.

Midrange Business Gifts for Fulfillment Programmes Between the high range and the low range are business gifts that are most likely to be redeemed by your customers. Many of these are your best bets for business gifts, because they're also the most visible. Items like jackets, t-shirts and other apparel are popular with your customers because they allow them to express brand loyalty - which also makes them valuable for you. When your customers wear your name on their pockets or their backs, they're the best business that you can get.

- Jackets and sweatshirts are popular mid-range fulfillment business gifts. Because they're outerwear, they are among the most visible business gifts you can buy. Be sure to choose quality workmanship and materials to represent your company and make your customers more likely to wear them.

Top 5 Best Places to Buy Consumer Electronics in Singapore by Gary Hendricks

Hello, my friend, if you are reading this article, I'd figure that you're an electronics buff who would like to buy the latest plasma TV, LCD TV or perhaps a nice digital camera or camcorder. Guess what? Singapore is the place for you!

The electronics in Singapore are one of the cheapest in the Southeast Asian region and tons of people flock into the country to buy electronics. You will find an impressive array of electronic goods to purchase and bring back home.

I'd like to recommend the top 5 best places to buy consumer electronics in Singapore. So here goes!

1. Sim Lim Square
Yes, I think I've mentioned this to you many times. That famous complex called Sim Lim Square is one great place to buy consumer electronics in Singapore.

If you're looking for a rare digital camera or a digital camcorder, Sim Lim Square is the place to go. The place is also known for its amazing variety of computer hardware and peripherals.

2. Funan The IT Mall
Ok, Funan the IT Mall is next in our list. Now, this place is more up-market compared to Sim Lim Square and essentially, it boasts a very wide range of consumer electronics.

Again, digital cameras and camcorders steal the show in this place, along with computer hardware. If you want stuff like plasma TVs and LCD TVs, its not exactly a good place to get it.

3. Harvey Norman
Ok, now we come to the famous Harvey Norman store. These stores are open all over the island, usually in one of the new town areas. If you step into Funan the IT Mall, there's a Harvey Norman store inside too. Harvey Norman is a great place to buy consumer electronics in Singapore.

Usually, the goods and prices are standard and you can be assured that you aren't being ripped off when purchasing stuff from them. Do remember that the store likes to offer an extended warranty on purchases - if you do not need this, insist to the store assistant that you don't need it - they can be quite persistent sometimes.

4. Courts
If you've been around Singapore more, you'll find a store called Courts which is a competitor (of sorts) to Harvey Norman. The Courts store contains electronic items for sale too, albeit in much less variety compared to Harvey Norman. However, I do find that the stuff sold at Courts are very cheap - be careful about quality though - make sure you inspect the goods before shelling out cash. This is just to be safe.

5. Paris Silk
Finally, a good place to buy consumer electronics in Singapore is this little hidden gem tucked away in Holland Village - called Paris Silk. I was introduced to this store by my brother-in-law and I can tell you they hold a massive inventory of the latest consumer electronics. Simple massive. Ask for any digital camera or camcorder and they will probably have it.

One thing to be careful about when buying from Paris Silk is the GST. There is a GST of 3% on all goods and services sold in Singapore. I find that Paris Silk usually does not include this 3% in the prices they quote (especially over the phone). So while it may seem the Paris Silk sells goods cheaper than other places, you have to ensure that the 3% GST is accounted for.

Conclusion
Well, what a long article. I've managed to cover some of the best places to buy consumer electronics in Singapore. I hope you have a good time here and find all the bargains in electronics you want! Happy travels!

Computer Graphics by Dean Barnard

Some still hold the opinion that graphics and art is a mind thing and one cannot become a graphics artist just by tweaking some shots in a computer. Creativity may still be elusive but there is little doubt that computer generated imagery and graphics have taken art to a new level. With the availability of new and better graphics tools an artist has more time to do things which he does best ......creating . It used to be domain of Mac's, high end graphics workstations with the whiz kids hunched on its big impressive screen. But soon a slew of PC based graphics suites hit the market, turning every kid into a master craftsman. Adobe Photoshop may be considered to be a pioneer in this field. Corel's Photopaint and Paint Shop Pro were and are being used widely even today. Windows based graphics software has made computer graphics accessible to the common man. With the advent of digital cameras, need for enhancing and improving family photos has lead to phenomenal growth of home grown studios. The pace has quickened with cameras mounted on mobile phones. The number of formats for graphics files has also increased with the times. Starting with the humble bit map file, bmp other popular formats are JPEG, TIFF, GIF and TARGA (.tga).

Adobe Photoshop

The field of computer graphics would not be complete without the mention of Adobe Photoshop. In fact, it can be considered as the Microsoft windows of the graphics world. The Photoshop tools make retouching, manipulation and color correction possible within a few minutes as compared to many days used by professional photographers using traditional tools. Photoshop uses its own native format .psd for storing files. The layer information can be preserved in this format, permitting the user to effect changes at a later date. However the native format .psd gives rise to large and heavy files which are rather difficult to transfer to other computers. Photoshop can also work with several other graphics file formats like BMP, JPEG, and Gif etc. It is also capable of importing vector graphics. In the latest version, it is also possible to work on several digital camera formats making it easy for home users to manipulate digital images.

Along with several other Adobe software, Photoshop can be used to create images not only for the print media but also for the internet, animation and motion pictures.

An important feature of Photoshop is the plug-ins. With plug-ins the capability of Photoshop is extended phenomenally. In fact, a sub culture or mini world has developed under the umbrella of plug-ins. Effects such as grain, lens flare, degauss etc. are quite popular. Color correction and manipulation is an important feature of Photoshop, lending magic to real world images.

Adobe Photoshop software is a pioneer in the field of computer graphics. It is moderately priced and is suitable for manipulating high resolution graphics. It can convert into a variety of graphics formats which are suited both for the print as well as web-sites.

Advertising Photography: The Reign of the Digital Camera Cometh by Jack White

Advertising photography in the modern era is essentially the use of digital cameras. Digital cameras include both the DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) as well as the Point-and-Shoot cameras. Both online shops as well as shops of brick and mortar sell the new age digital cameras manufactured by well known and highly preferred brands. Without the digital camera, we can not even imagine advertising photography in today's time.

Even photographers prefer the digital camera over the old fashioned film camera. There are multiple reasons why they prefer the digital camera. The first and most important being the running cost of photography with films as compared with that of the digital camera. Apart from the cost, another very important reason why both commercial photographers as well as the clients look for digital camera - is that the image quality is much better and they prove to be quite expedient for further processing.

Let us see how digital cameras effect the cost. Digital cameras are quite economical as compared to the film cameras. The fact that you don't have to keep buying the film rolls for your work is in itself a big cut in the costs. All you need is memory cards and you can keep storing all your shots in that. The capacity of the cards varies - you can choose 1GB or 2GB cards as per your requirement.

Now, in Advertising photography, there are many shots that you don't like and you want to discard them - in film cameras, you can not delete them and you end up using your film for every shot that you take. But in digital cameras, you can delete those photographs you don't like and save the memory space for more work. You can also upload all the photographs in a computer and delete them from the memory card to make space for further work of advertising photography.

Digital Cameras - Great for Practice for Commercial Photographer by Jack White

As a commercial photographer, you would always need lots of practice and experience to keep learning the art and the nuances of photography. If you are a budding commercial photographer, an amateur, a dabbler you would need a lot of training to know the skill and get better at it, in order to be successful. Or even if you have years of experience and have got the due recognition and the love of clients, you still need lots and lots of practice and research to keep yourself updated and never rust.

But practising your art with a film camera is and has never been a very feasible idea. The only reason why film cameras have never been a very good option for practice is the cost that it entails. The running costs of a film camera is quite high. First it requires film rolls, which are expensive and they are an absolute requirement for such cameras.

Second, if you take a shot that you don't find good enough later on, it would mean that you have wasted your film roll there and whether or not you choose to print it, the image has captured its space in the film roll.

Therefore film cameras have never been a very good option for a commercial photographer, especially those who face a frequent shortage of money. And for commercial photographer of today, digital camera has come like a boon in disguise. Though these cameras are a little expensive as compared to the film cameras, but the running costs are quite low. You just need a memory card where you store the shots you take. From the camera, with the help of a USB cable, you can transfer your pictures to the computer and then delete all the pictures from the memory card. Then you can use the free space for more pictures.

Three main types of cameras by Suzanne VanDeGrift

The camera family is divided into three basic types, separated mainly by image resolution, camera features and price. The point and shoot, the prosumer cameras, and the professional cameras. Here's some more information on these three camera choices to help you make an informed decision when out there making your next purchase.

The point and shoot, as its name suggests, is an easy to use, fully automatic, compact camera that has developed huge popularity. They almost all have a viewfinder which makes taking the picture almost foolproof. They have resolution up to 3 to 4 million pixels (the more pixel the better quality) allowing you to get prints up to 8 x 10. They have grown to be the best selling digital camera on the market, and the least expensive. Generally, a basic digital point and shoot will cost below $500. The higher end models would have automatic focus and variable apertures, light meters, and use electric motors to advance and rewind. They would also, more than likely, have a zoom lens. The professional photographer will take a digital point and shoot in addition to their 35mm SLR cameras because of the ease and convenience. A shot that might otherwise be missed, would be made with this little compact camera. The camera cases are lightweight and compact, but with plenty padding to protect the delicate camera and accessories.

Next on the list is the Prosumer camera. The definition of prosumer is : A consumer who is an amateur in a particular field, but who is knowledgeable enough to require equipment that has some professional features ("professional + consumer"). This is a type of camera with 5 to 6 million pixels They often look like consumer cameras but have more features for the person who has taken the next step above hobby photographer. Higher quality lenses, higher detail and total control over exposure. It's usually more sturdy than other compacts. The resolution has quality high enough that the prints can be used for publication. With this camera, the photographer is taking the picture, not so much the camera. Price ranges from $500 to over $1000. Add to that a durable, high quality camera case and modular system and you'll have a first class photography package.

Last, but definitely not least is the professional camera. This is the top of the line digital camera designed for professionals and serious-minded amateurs. It's often fashioned after the SLR and has between 6 and 12 million pixels. They are available in both film; 35mm, 120 roll, and sheet film sizes and digital cameras with sensors 18x13mm or larger. The professional camera has dual control; it is fully automatic, but also allows the operator to control many functions manually, giving the photographer the best of both worlds. Another invaluable advantage to owning one of these cameras is that their features and accessories are interchangeable between the film and digital versions. When selecting your camera bag, choose a case that has adjustable dividers and room for extra film, lenses, and other accessories. The cost for one of these professional cameras will run you anywhere from $1500 up to $8000.

Now that you know the three main types of cameras, you should be able to make an informed decision on which one will best suit your needs and lifestyle. You have enough basic knowledge to enter a store and talk with a salesman. If price is your primary factor, let them know that up front. Don't waste time looking at a professional camera, when your budget is set for a point and shoot. Be clear on what you will be using the camera for, hobby or career. If you have access to a computer, check out the cameras, in your price range, on line before heading out to check them out in person. This will give you a chance to get a feel for what appeals to you ahead of time. What accessories are they offering with the camera? Perhaps a printer. Also consider name brand versus generic. Check the features and the cost and determine which is the best value for your needs. Find out which stores may be offering the best deals on the same cameras and map out your route.

Everyone of these investments very obviously needs to be protected in sturdy, well constructed camera cases. For the small, digital point and shoot being used to snap that birthday party, a compact, well padded case will work very nicely. The jump to the prosumer camera will require a few more features, to be effective, since they may have film and possibly additional lenses. Select a case that accommodates multiple cameras and lenses and the host of accessories needed, if you are the professional photographer. Whatever your level of photography, always choose a quality camera bag for years of service.

How Can Anyone Offer Mobile Games Absolutely Free by Mike Nicholson

I have been a mobile gaming freak ever since the day I bought my first mobile phone few years back. Those were the days of mobile games like Snakes and Tetris that came built-in my Nokia phone. But now the times have changed and so has mobile technology. Over the last few years mobile technology has grown at an unbelievably high rate. Today mobile phones have grown from a mere communication device to the heights of popularity by integrating advanced features like media players, mega pixel digital cameras, internet access, and every other entertaining feature you can think of.

Taking advantage of the advances in mobile technology, the mobile gaming scene is also picking up. The force or technology behind this revolution in the mobile gaming world is Java, a computer programming language, which enabled the development of extremely advanced mobile games, games which you could only play on computer or high end gaming consoles.

All of the recently introduced mobile phones come with built in animated games for our entertainment. But the number of games provided by the manufacturer is limited to only a few, and if you are a mobile gaming freak like me you must have always been on the lookout for new mobile games. But the big question is how we actually get new mobile phones that will satisfy our desire for mobile gaming.

It's not only the mobile technology that has made breakthrough advances; the world of Internet has also seen a complete change from the days of just using it for sending and receiving mails and surfing boring sites to making all our purchases online. You must have seen tens or hundreds of sites offering mobile games. But it's not possible to buy all of the games as that would put a lot of burden on our pocket.

You must have also seen plenty of sites claiming to provide free mobile games, but as soon as you land on their site all your hopes are shattered to see all the hidden charges. So how do you actually get cell phone games that are absolutely free? Since I have been a big fan of mobile games, I searched the whole internet to find a provider that offered free mobile games with no hidden charges. I was amazed to find one such provider HOVR (www.hovr.com), which offers all the cell phone games absolutely free without charging even a single penny directly or indirectly.

By now you must have started to think about the big question around which this whole article was written "How Can Anyone Offer Mobile Games Absolutely Free?" I contacted guys at HOVR to clear all the mysteries behind their concept of "free downloadable mobile phone games". And this is what they have to say:

"Hovr is the world's first ad-supported consumer based mobile content provider spearheading the evolution of a free mobile content based social network across Mobile platforms. Hovr provides loads of titles from a dozen world class mobile game publishers, all available to users at no cost. The ability to embed advertising into games and applications allows Hovr to deliver free content without compromising your user experience. Hovr's software-enabled technology adLogic, delivers targeted advertisements that are personally relevant, and therefore of more interest to you.

At Hovr, when we say free, we mean it. We don't charge you a penny for the cutting edge mobile content, mobile games and other mobile applications we provide and distribute."

I must say I was pretty impressed by this concept and their promise of providing absolutely free cell phone games. Hovr lets you directly download free mobile games to your mobile phone or computer. You can point your phone browser to http://wap.hovr.com to directly download free games to your phone.

Digital cameras - the modern solution to capture images by Rick Martin

A digital camera is different from conventional cameras because it does not use photographic film or magnetic tape to record or store images. A digital camera is basically an electronic device that can capture and store images digitally.

A digital camera is designed for various uses such as taking photographs or recording sound and video. Most of them are multifunctional, including both features and more. Digital cameras can be divided in several categories, depending on their main use.

Video cameras include other subcategories. Professional cameras are designed and built for television and movie making purposes. Some of their features include multiple sensors for image in order to enhance color gamut and resolution. Camcorders are used by amateurs and have a microphone and an LCD display for previewing the images. Webcams are cameras connected to a computer and are used for videoconferencing.

A live-preview digital camera, also called a digital still camera, makes reference to the devices that have an LCD screen on the back. This is used for framing, previewing before taking photographs and reviewing the photographs after they have been taken. The photographs can be transferred to a computer or laptop by using the USB mass storage device class.

Digicams are the most comprehensive category and include most digital cameras. They are designed for casual use and their main feature is the ease with which they are used. A digital camera such as the ones presented in this category is what you will find in many homes today.

Returning to the first groups, there are lots of differences between two basically similar products in different categories. Lots of camcorders now include still photograph features, and many live-preview cameras can record movie clips. Even though they have basically the same features, camcorders cannot take pictures of the same quality as DSC's, while movies made with a live-preview camera cannot boast with the same clarity.

There are lots of other categories of digital cameras, but the separation between them is more technical. There are other devices which can replace digital cameras. These devices consist of older devices with significant improvements - camera phones.

Communication has known a significant evolution. The first phones were very odd in appearance. They were restricted to a ground line and distributed low quality signals. The revolution came with the development of the portable cell phone.

These were first developed for voice communication only. As technology advanced, the manufacturers took under consideration the idea of incorporating more features to those devices. This led to the appearance of the camera phone. A camera phone is basically a cell phone that has a built-in camera.

The advances in technology allowed the manufacturers to include cameras that can compete with today's digital cameras, with high resolutions and picture quality. Owning a camera phone gives you the chance to have a communication device and the means to capture images of unforgettable moments with only one gadget. BLUETOOTH AND MOBILE PHONES by Ian Ball

Nowadays, mobile phones serve more than just the purpose of making and receiving calls. It offers many features such as MMS, SMS, etc. With such developments there have also been many allied developments in technology, which complement these features. One such development is the Bluetooth.

An interesting fact about how Bluetooth derived its name, according to the records is that, a Denmark King was by the name Harald Bluetooth. When his kingdom had to wage war with another kingdom, he played a very diplomatic role and made the two parties to negotiate. So, this makes Bluetooth a fitting name for the device, as it serves in the middle for the communication between other devices.

Bluetooth is a wireless form of Personal Area Networking. That it helps in the communication between devices such as computer and mobile phones, which are close to one person. Information can be exchanged between, computers, laptops, cell phones, digital cameras etc. For the functioning, the Bluetooth uses radio communications system. The distance in which the transmission can take place depends on the power of the device. Based on the power, the devices are classified into classes:

· Class 1: The range is 100 meters. · Class 2: The range is 10 meters. · Class 3: The range is 1 meter.

Though most of the uses of the Bluetooth are concerned with PCs, as with mobile phones, they are used for communication between the phones and hands free headset. The device is used between two devices, which do not require much bandwidth for communication. The main requirement of a personal computer, in order to use a Bluetooth is the presence of Bluetooth adaptor. It is only in the presence of this that the computer can communicate with other devices such as mobile phones, through the Bluetooth. Windows XP is the modern day operating system which supports Bluetooth.

There are many versions of the Bluetooth that have been developed:

· The very first versions of Bluetooth were, 1.0 and 1.0B. These had many problems. · The next version was 1.1, this had all the corrections of the problems which the other versions held. · The third version was 1.2; this was compatible with 1.1 and had several advantages such as better adaptation, faster connection, and higher transmission rates. · The later versions were 2.0 and 2.1, which have much higher transmission rates and many more extra features, making it a very high end device.

The future versions of Bluetooth are expected to serve many more purposes and aid in the transfer of large amounts of data, such as high quality audio, video for portable projectors, TVs etc.

To digital or not to digital that is the question. by Tom Hansen

Growing up with film cameras most of my life I am use to those photos I get back from the processor that are blurry, or the head is cut off, out of focus, or of something I have no idea what it is. I hated having to pay for these unusable prints, but most of all finding that, that moment in time was lost and never would be retrievable. With the advent of digital cameras many of these problems became a thing of the past. We are now able to review our photos instantly, on built in monitors on back of most digital cameras. We can see whether a new photo is required, or we can take as many as your camera is capable of taking without the worry of paying for unusable photos. You can simply delete those photos that are of no value and move on. While we can still take or send our photos to a processor to print them, we now can do this in the comfort of our home or office on a color printer attached to our computer or thru a docking station made for some cameras.

Long gone are those days of what you see is what you get with regard to photos. We can now with the advent of numerous software programs, edit our photos to meet the requirements we want. We can crop photos to something or someone in a photo, or highlight the part of the photo we want to see. We can remove red eye, that flash back seen in the eyes of subjects in our photos. We can print all different sizes of our photos for the wallet or wall, without losing the integrity of the photo.

How many of you have or have had a video camera? Yes I mean those that record to tape, either VHS or the smaller tapes. Well now most of the high-end cameras can also perform as video cameras making them even handier. The video is recorded digitally and can be down loaded to your computer. What a world huh.

I want to talk about the Pentax Optio A30 as an example of this new technology as it is one of the newest top class digital cameras out today. The A30 is built by Pentax, the innovative leader for over 80 years in the production of digital cameras along with lenses, laser printers, and scanners just to name a few. The 10 million pixels Pentax Optio A30 camera, which was introduced in February of 2007, achieves one of the highest image qualities available to date in compact digital cameras. Thanks to features such as 10 million effective megapixels that enables high-resolution images, a 1/1.8-inchCCD with a wide light -sensitive area for superior reproduction, a SMC Pentax zoom lens which is renowned for its high resolving power, an image processing engine that makes rich color reproduction possible, and three different types of anti-shake functions this is the camera of the future now.

It is these three different anti-shake functions that turns anyone using this camera into an artist. Pentax has improved it original Shake Reduction (SR) technology in the A30 by adding both Digital and Movie SR to improve image capture in lowlight settings and telephoto capture. To better detect faces and focus to properly capture portraits, Pentax has introduced their Face Recognition AF & AE function. The Optio A30 is the sixth DivX Certified digital camera that Pentax has manufactured in the past 18 months. The DivX technology makes it easy for users to create their own media with the push of a button. Instantly recording high quality DivX video and then playing it back on any of 50 million DivX Certified consumer devices available today. The Digital SR mode automatically changes sensitivity according to the brightness of the subject, and effectively reduces camera shakes and subject blurring. For the Optio A30, the maximum sensitivity has been improved to ISO 3200. With faster shutter speeds, photography with reduced blurring is now possible. While these are just a few of the capabilities of this and many of the new digital cameras, one can see this is not our fathers cameras, and the way technology keeps increasing these are also not our children's cameras.

Basic Digital Photography Tutorial by Johan Liemanza

Basic Digital Photography

To get the absolute most out of the material, you should have a digital SLR or a high-end digital camera that presents you a wide group of control over shutter speeds and aperture settings. Digital photography has many advantages far more than traditional film photography. You can be astonished which the greatest digital camera is, and if you are conscious of digital photography basics you may make the decision effortlessly.

Digital cameras are principally characterized by their picture resolution or mega-pixel capacities; from low-resolution (less than 1 mega-pixel) to high-resolution (greater than 1 mega-pixel) to advanced high-resolution (4 mega-pixels or more). Digital photography uses electronic instruments to seize a snapshot of a particular thing and translate the portrait into binary record, which is readable by a computer. ISO ranges from 100-3200, and it is extremely low-noise across the whole collection. When you're altering the settings on a camera, you're trying to observe the correct exposure for the subject and lighting conditions. How to set shutterspeed, aperture, and exposure depending on the type of condition and much more. 5 megapixels are sufficient for most situations.

If everything you are worried about is knowing how to be able to have a digital camera to obtain your Myspace pictures hence you don't have to be concerned about developing and scanning everything, you should perhaps just get a small lesson from our digital camera and check the handbook or owner's instruction manual to deal with any troubles you can undergo.

What is great about the digital camera is the fact that you can have a continual amount of pictures. If you are barely planning to use the pictures online or with a computer, you would have a lower resolution setting. Have the ISO set for the surroundings you're in hence you don't lose valuable moment. Digital photography for beginners could be mastered by anybody. You will notice that it is easy to go off from digital photography for beginners to the subsequent level of photography, for you find more comfortable with your digital camera.

What Are The Advantages Of Digital Photography Training?

You will be taken through the steps of loading your camera and getting the most out of your camera' s storage space for images. The advantages are many if you are willing to take them. Not only will you learn new techniques and new ways to take photos, you will also meet like minded people who can share stories of their own skills and weak points. It is being able to share information in this way that makes digital photography classes so appealing to many people.

Digital photography classes are also often designed to appeal to people at different stages of learning. For example, a beginner' s class will be aimed at people who have never previously used a digital camera, and want to learn how to take competent photos with one.

The aim of an intermediate class will be to develop the beginner' s knowledge and introduce more techniques and skills to make their photography more enjoyable and interesting.

Finally, for the more advanced student there will be a number of classes that go into greater depth in a wide range of areas. You may be able to take a class which teaches you how to produce excellent photos with night photography, for example.
